PART 1 - GENERAL

1.01 SECTION INCLUDES
A. Manually operated side-folding grilles.
B. Related Sections: Section 08332 Overhead Coiling Grilles.

1.02 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit manufacturer’s product data, specifications, shop drawings with layout,
  fabrication and installation details.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.01 MANUFACTURER
A. Provide grilles manufactured by AlumaTek Inc., 680 West 200 North,
  North Salt Lake, UT 84054 800.647.7049

2.02 MODELS AND MATERIALS
A. Models: Provide side-folding grilles model as follows:
1. Glazed
B. Materials:
1. Aluminum: Bars, Rods and Extrusions to be 6063 Alloy, T5 Tempered.
2. Polycarbonate sheet: consisting of clear, flame retardant GE Lexan( (or equal).

2.03 COMPONENTS
A. Locking:
1. Leading Edge: Standard locking mechanism to consist of a Hook lock with
  full height wall-strike. (Top and bottom lock optional)
2. Intermediate Posts: Posts to be spaced at 10’ with locking mechanisms designed to
  drop into the floor receptacle.
3. Trailing Edge: Floating trailing edge, self locking.

2.04 FABRICATION
A. Glazed Model Curtain:
1. Vertical double-action hinge system 1 1/2” by 1 1/2” by height of curtain, connected
  with horizontal aluminum extrusions 1/8” by 4” x 5 1/4” spaced between polycarbonate windows.
2. Polycarbonate windows to be 3/32” thick by 5 1/4” by factory specified height,
  with 1/8” by 4” by 5 1/4” vertical aluminum I-links.
3. Curtain Size: See Drawings.
B. Track: Extruded aluminum 1 3/8” wide by 1 1/2” high. Curved track when required shall
  have a 14” radius with (30û) (45û) (90û) curves available.
C. Leading Post / Intermediate Post(s): heavy duty extruded aluminum with cylinder
  locks operable on (one) both sides.
D. Operation: Manual

2.05 FINISHES
A. Aluminum curtain, posts, and track to be Clear (Bronze) (Black) Anodized.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.01 PREPERATION
A. Prepare openings(s) to receive grille(s) as required by manufacturer.

3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Install as shown on drawings in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  Adjust for smooth and easy operation.
