Part 1 -General

1.01 SECTION INCLUDES
A. Aluminum overhead coiling grilles.

1.02 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit manufacturerÕs product data, specifications, shop drawings with  layout, fabrication and installation details.

Part 2 - Products

2.01 MANUFACTURER
A. Provide grilles manufactured by AlumaTek Inc., 680 West 200 North, North  Salt Lake, UT 84054 (800) 647.7049

2.02 MODELS AND MATERIALS
A. Models: Provide overhead coiling grille model(s) as follows:
1. AT-9
B. Materials:
1. Aluminum: Bars, Rods and Extrusions to be 6063 Alloy, T5 Tempered.
2. Steel: Bar, Pipe and Plate(s) to meet AlumaTekÕs specifications.

2.03 COMPONENTS
1. Locking: Standard locking mechanism to consist of two-point lock to throw at  both jambs.
2. Motor: 1/3 HP, 115 Volt, Single Phase with push button.
3. 2-Flush-Mounted Key Station(s)
4. Emergency-Egress-Device

2.04 FABRICATION
A. AT-9 Model Curtain:
1. Horizontal Rods 5/16Ó diameter aluminum of alloy 6063. Vertical Spacing 2Ó
2. Vertical Links formed of eyeletted aluminum extrusions 3/4Ó wide, positioned  on 9Ó centers.
3. Curtain Size: See Drawing
B. Guides: Extruded aluminum with mohair strips to prevent metal to metal  contact
C. Structural Supports: ManufacturerÕs standard 3Ó by 3Ó steel tube.
D. Bottom Bar: Heavy duty extruded aluminum with thumb-turn on one side and  keyed cylinder on the other.
E. Counterbalance: Tempered helical torsion high cycle spring mounted on cast  anchors and continuous solid torsion rods permanently lubricated and enclosed  within a 6 5/8Ó steel pipe shaft.
F. Bracket Plates: Steel plates no less than 3/16Ó thick bolted to structural support  tubes.
G. Operation: Motor Operator

2.05 FINISHES
A. Aluminum Bottom Bar and Guides to be Clear Anodized.

Part 3 - Execution

3.01 Preparation
A. Prepare opening to receive grille as required by manufacturer.

3.02 Installation
A. Install as shown on drawings in strict accordance with manufacturerÕs  instructions. Adjust for smooth and easy operation.
